I translated the recipes, but we dont use the american measurement system here (cups/spoons etc), everything will be in grams. Here’s a conversion table if necessary!

The mise en place is very important so that you wont be surprised during the execution of the recipes (something missing etc). Organization and patience are very important (too)!

If you guys find yourselves in trouble or dont understand any part of it, please say so and i will try my best to help.

Yesterday some people from my night classes (idk around 12 people, since we’re closer together) decided to get together at a friend’s house to cook dinner, talk and have a good time :). Now, when you gather together a bunch of people that simply love to cook and are from different parts of the country (and a few of them have a cooking school degree) the result is bound to be some really really good food omg ;~; It was so nice cause everyone arrived around 9pm and cooked everything together and made dessert (dulce de leche-banana mini tarts with whipped fresh cream and ice cream) and this friend has a really chic-big house so the kitchen was such a nice place to be. We laughed and ate a lot and it was honestly one of the best nights I’ve had in a couple of years ;-;b Everyone is sf funny (this particular friend tops it cause he’s def a bit crazy lmao) and since we are taking cooking classes together everyone was so eager to help and share and just participate. Good times, good times ;-;b They’re all very dear to me already.

1. What do other people describe you as? Smart, sweet, knows how to cook and good in languages, that short girl
2. What do you describe yourself as? Pensive/reflective,  procrastinator, good at adapting to changes
3. Choose between money, health, and happiness. Health, because without it it’s pretty hard to achieve anything else.
4. When did you stop believing in Santa? Idk lmao, around 9 years old maybe?
5. Would you rather shop online or in physical stores?  Physical stores, I love trying things on and just going to different stores and shopping in general
6. Name your three favourite foods.  Bread, watermelon, kung pao chicken
7. Have you ever pulled a prank that went wrong? Yes
8. Are you left-handed or right-handed? Right handed
9. Who’s your favourite artist, and what are your favourite three songs?  Cant pick one, so I’ll cheat and name a few: Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Shinee, Corinne Bailey Rae, Michael Buble etc. I’ll probably never get tired of Replay, Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet and Trade Mistakes
10. If you could’ve prevented/changed one thing in your life, what would it be and why? I think the situations we go through make the person we are today so this is a pretty tricky question but i thinkkkk i’d probably choose not to have gone out with this crazy weirdo that just made my life a living hell, I did stupid shit, lied to my parents/friends etc and it’s a baggage I certainly wish i didnt have
11. What do you hope the future will be like (assuming we make it past 2012)? I’ll be hopefully working with something im passionate about, either in another country or here and with good friends close by.

We were taught how to make pâte feuilletée (puff pastry) this week at my night classes so i thought i’d practice a bit this weekend and make it again at home.

I was honestly too lazy to cut them evenly (after all the work with folds and rolling etc etc), so i just baked rustic looking squares of puffy pastry with pastry cream +  cooked apples and pears in syrup with cinnamon that i had prepared earlier:

they layered really nicely and tasted very good so i was pretty happy with the results :3
